Pillow Thoughts

„Pillow Thoughts“ is a collection of poetry about love, sadness, heartbreak, loneliness and crave for a person.
The book is devided into ten categories such as „If you are sad“ or „If you are dreaming of someone“. Each categorie contains about 30 pages of poetry and is ment to be read when you feel that emotion (e.g. sadness).
I for one read the book in one sitting and finished it in about two hours. Neither did I feel sad, nor lonely or heartbroken, but still there where quite a lot of poems that I could relate to.
I think I’m going to come back to that book when I feel like I need to read these words again. Some of them will hit a lot harder if you are actually in that thought pattern the moment you read them, I think.
I don’t usually read poetry. I did not even plan to read a poetry book, but when I found this one in my local bookstore, it instantly became a part of my to be read list. I thought about the book quite a lot, so I decided that I could might as well buy it now.
Though it was kind of expensive I don’t regret buying it. I really enjoyed reading it, despite that I don’t think that I’ll read poetry more frequently in the future.
