The Silent Patient

It has been six years since Alicia murdered her husband of seven years. She is the only one who knows what happened and why she did it, because ever since, she has not spoken a word.
Theo is a psychotherapist and has a guess that there is more behind the story, he wants to finally make Alicia speak again, but that is going to take some nerves and a lot of time, since he needs Alicia to trust him first.
During their first couple of therapy sessions she remains silent, but then she hands Theo her diary and with its help he starts to investigate and interview people that used to be close to Alicia and her husband.
When Alicia finally does speak, Theo must learn that the story she is telling is nothing but a lie.

There is something about this book that hooked me and it is weird beacuse especially in the middle of the book it felt like nothing was happening really. The beginning was quite interesting already, and that remained throughout the entire book even though it was kind of a slow burn at times, as I said. It was not exactly thrilling at all times, but rather interesting in a way of „I need to know what happened!“. The end was like everything exept of what I expected it to be, but I loved it! It, in a way, changed the meaning of everything that had happened before.
I really liked the stile of writing too, since it was so easy to read and the words used just fit.
