The Unhoneymooners

At the wedding of Olive’s twin sister everyone but her and the best man Ethan, who is the grooms brother, gets a food poisoning.
Since the newly-weds can’t go on their already paid for honeymoon in Hawaii, Olive and Ethan, despite disliking each other, decide to go and pretend to be their siblings.
Unlucky as ever, Olive runs into her new boss and ends up telling him she just got married, so her lie is not discovered. For a whole dinner they have to pretend to be in love and then, when Ethan’s ex crosses their way, the pretending goes on. Until it is no longer just pretending.
Olive discovers that there is no actual reason to hate Ethan and that he actually liked her and only acted distant because his brother told him to do so.
But when the honeymoon is over, they have to return to their normal lives and instantly problems arise, that put their new found love to test.

This book is kind of your average fake-dating romance novel, but I enjoyed it.
I’m not really a fan of fake-dating, but since I haven’t read too many books with that trope, so I wasn’t bored by this one.
It was a fun story for in between. I kind of liked Olive and the way she seemed to always be unlucky and I definitely liked Ethan, he seemed really nice and relaxed.
I didn’t enjoy the start of the book all that much, but it got better soon, so that’s OK. The story was cute, but a bit predictable. I thought Olive and Ethan are a better fit than Ami and Dane for the majority of the book btw.
